Welcome to Raja Ravi Varma Central School

Raja Ravi Varma Central School was started as a project of the Raja Ravi Varma Cultural Educational Centre, Kilimanoor. The school started functioning with eight students in the 1st grade, and in each consecutive year, one more class was added.

The school moved to its current location in September 1993 and has made steady progress since then. The school building was inaugurated by Sri. T. M. Jacob, the then state minister of cultural affairs. During the year 1997–1998, a No Objection Certificate from the state government was obtained. In August 1998, middle school approval from CBSE, Delhi, and secondary section affiliation from the CBSE Board were obtained during 2000–2001. In March 2002, the first batch of 31 students appeared for AISSE (Class X), in which the students secured a 100% pass. The school was granted affiliation for the senior secondary section in 2003. We are an educational institute built on mutual trust, respect, and a shared vision of the profound significance of the early years in a child’s life. Our dedicated team delivers a program with high-quality care and education for children. Backed by active collaborations with families, schools, and external specialists.

PRINCIPAL’S DESK

Teaching is a very noble profession that shapes the character, calibre, and future of an individual. There are many different ways of learning; teaching is only one of them. Children learn a great deal by interacting with others informally, sharing what they are learning with others, and vice versa. They are encouraged to explore the world beyond the classroom and experience learning in myriad ways.

We assess each student as an individual and as unique. We support this, in partnership with the community, by providing a ‘wrap-around’ academic, social, and cultural curriculum. Our staff is highly skilled and experienced. Together, we teach and support students to achieve their best and to feel positive about education and learning.

We view education as a chore between the students, parents, the community, and the school. Every decision we make is aimed at improving desired outcomes for students. At Raja Ravi Varma Central School, students are "first and foremost.

In a world that rewards perseverance, resilience, initiative, problem-solving, and cooperation, I am proud of the significant accomplishments of our students and the results our school has achieved in being a better choice in education.
